Short and plain: what we collect, why, and how to get it deleted.
Last updated: October 2026
This notice explains how hangover (“HangOVER”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through hangoverband.com. HangOVER is the data controller. Company registration is in progress; we’ll add our registered company details here once it’s complete.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address, when you sign up for updates.
- Contact form: your name, email address and message.
How we use it
- Waitlist emails are used only to send you hangover product updates, such as launch news and launch-day offers.
- Contact form details are used only to reply to your message.
We don’t sell your data or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Our lawful basis
For the waitlist, we rely on your consent, which you give when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time. For contact messages, we rely on our legitimate interest in replying to you.
Where it’s stored
Form submissions are stored with Netlify, the service that hosts this website, which acts as our data processor. Netlify may process data outside the UK; where it does, it uses recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until we no longer send product updates. We keep contact messages for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than 12 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. To unsubscribe or ask for deletion, use our contact page, or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
